Maisha M. “Folawe”
Maisha “Folawe” is a spiritual entrepreneur, community leader, and healer with a calling to guide the next generation into deeper connection with spirit. She first encountered Ifa while researching her family’s ancestral history and the African traditions carried across the diaspora. After exploring many ATRs, she received her Hand of Ifa in 2022 and embraced her path as a daughter of Osun and Obatala.
With a BA in Psychology from Benedict College and plans to pursue a master’s degree, Folawe weaves together lineage, intuition, and lived experience as gateways to self-mastery. She believes children deserve a foundation rooted in belief in a higher power, ancestral veneration, and understanding of self through spirit.
Outside of IFA for Kids, Folawe is the founder of Sacred Homies, a community that helps people discover their unique spiritual paths through ritual, creativity, and collective exploration. Known for being innovative, outgoing, and transparent, she brings joy and depth to every space she enters.
And for the kids—fun fact: even though she’s a proud New Yorker, Folawe is absolutely afraid of pigeons!
